About the panel
Maya Sargent – Interim Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion @ Tecknuovo
Maya is Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Tecknuovo. She has 10 years of experience in the Recruitment and DEI space working both strategically and operationally. Maya has worked with organisations to create a positive impact on both them and their employees, through concentrating on intersectionality, working to create a workplace culture of inclusion and belonging and facilitating equitable and sustainable changes.
Ashley Ferry – Head of Product @ AllBright
Ashley is Head of Product and Delivery at AllBright which is a members club for women based in London and LA with a recently launched global digital app and website offering women a virtual platform to connect with intelligent, ambitious peers and level up their professional skills. She’s also previously worked at companies such as Soho House, Burberry and News UK.
Ashley champions women working in the tech industry. Frequently being the only senior female in the room she gives insight into the challenges she has faced daily, why she chose her career path and her journey to advocating for change for other women in the industry. Ashley will also be providing her key takeaways for businesses to help support more women in tech.
Kelly Richards – Senior Product & Delivery Manager @ Soho House
Kelly is a Senior Product & Delivery Manager at Soho House which is a global private members club for creatives. She has worked in tech teams across various industries and within organisations at different stages of digital transformation. From building new brands to re-inventing old ones, Kelly has led teams to build websites and apps that put the customer experience first.
Kelly has invested in increasing diversity in the hiring process for her teams in the tech industry. She is also an active member at Black Valley; a global community dedicated to increasing equity in tech; by fostering an environment where talent from a Black ethnic background can thrive. On International Women’s Day 2021 she was listed as one of The Dots UK’s 100 rising stars who are transforming the industry of today, inspiring the generation of tomorrow and making history.
Erin Gray – Scrum Master @ Tecknuovo
Erin is a Scrum Master who is working on a huge transformation programme at one of Tecknuovo’s clients. After graduating in Computer Programming she went to work at a large corporate consultancy at a time when sexist jokes were considered the norm. Realising she did not have a passion for programming she moved into Project Management and at an online retailer was introduced to Agile. For 11 years she has now been contracting whilst simultaneously bringing up identical twin girls aged seven.
Erin’s husband quit his job when the children were young, so he looks after the twins, manages the running of the house and does all the cooking so Erin can focus her efforts on work.
Sonia Krishnan – Bid Manager @ Tecknuovo
Sonia is a Bid Manager at Tecknuovo and is responsible for leading the responses to bids and proposals and developing the Bid Hub for a rapidly growing business. With over 20 years of experience within the Tech industry; working for multi-national corporations as well as SMEs in finance, transportation and the public sector; she has experienced some real challenges being the only female in the room at times. Having spent her entire career in Tech she understands the range of challenges from starting out in the industry; to establishing yourself and keeping your career on track while juggling children.
As an advocate for females in Tech, she is a firm believer in organisations working with women and understanding their needs to create cultures that are inclusive, fair and flexible in a meaningful rather than performative manner.
