When Tecknuovo was formed in 2015, the goal was simple: do things differently and break the cycle of dependency built into traditional consultancy models.
We wanted to help organisations become self-sufficient, not reliant. Over time, the concept of Zero Dependency® has become more than a way of working; it’s our mindset. It’s how we think, how we build partnerships, and how we measure success.
Ten years on, that mindset has become an urgent necessity for the entire industry. Digital transformation cannot keep creating new cycles of reliance. This rebrand isn’t just about a new look; it’s to make a clear statement about the movement we’re championing: Zero Dependency®.
The Reality We See
Working with organisations across critical infrastructure, central government, and enterprise, we see the same challenges repeatedly.
Digital transformation projects deliver impressive systems, but too often the knowledge of how to run them stays with those who built them. Teams inherit complex architectures they struggle to understand (and pay huge costs for the transition!). Organisations find themselves dependent on external support years after go-live.
The statistics tell part of the story – around 70% of digital transformations fail to deliver lasting value. But what matters more are the real impacts: teams who feel disconnected from their own systems, budgets stretched by ongoing support costs, and, for infrastructure, genuine operational risks. We are focused on recognising that there’s a better way.
What Zero Dependency® Means
Zero Dependency® isn’t about working alone or avoiding supplier expertise. It’s about ensuring knowledge and capability end up where they belong: with your teams.
When customers work with us, some choose to continue our partnership to tackle new challenges and drive innovation. Others become entirely independent. Both are success stories because in both cases, they’re choosing from a position of strength, not necessity. They could run everything without us. That’s the point.
We work directly in your environment, pair with your engineers, and make sure your teams can run, modify, and improve systems before we consider our job done. It’s not always the easiest path, but it creates lasting value.
From government departments to water companies, from defence systems to global insurers, we’ve helped organisations take back control of their technology. More importantly, we’ve helped their teams regain confidence in their own capabilities.
Tecknuovo has evolved. The challenges we tackle have become more complex. The systems we build are increasingly critical, keeping essential services running across the country.
Our previous brand served us well, but it no longer reflected the scale of what we do or our clarity of approach. As Tecknuovo has grown, colleagues, customers, and partners have naturally shortened our name to “TN”. Our new ‘tn’ icon embraces that. It’s our shorthand: a simple, confident mark that reflects the direct focus we bring to every engagement.
This rebrand is about being clear who we are: a company that measures success not by how long customers need us, but by how capable they become.
Moving Forward
To our existing customers: thank you for trusting us with your critical systems and your teams. You’ve proven that Zero Dependency® works in practice.
To organisations considering a different approach: if you’re ready to build genuine capability rather than ongoing dependency, we’d love to talk.
I’m proud to lead a company that measures success differently – proud of our teams who transfer knowledge as naturally as they lead deliveries or write code. We’re really proud to have worked with thousands of technologists who now run their own systems.
Digital transformation should empower organisations, not create dependencies. That’s not just our belief, it’s our commitment.
