December 9, 2024 – Tecknuovo, one of the fastest-growing technology businesses in the UK, is delighted to announce Gary Follis has joined the firm as a Non-Executive Director.

For the past two years, Tecknuovo has been ranked in the prestigious ‘Sunday Times 100’ list of Britain’s fastest-growing companies. It has rapidly established itself as the go-to technology delivery partner for the public sector, offering a unique service between consultancy and capability development.

Bringing strategic government expertise to Tecknuovo

Gary brings a formidable combination of business and political experience to Tecknuovo, following a series of senior roles in frontline politics and the private sector.

He is currently Chief Strategy Officer at the Betting and Gaming Council, the trade body representing over 90 per cent of the UK’s regulated betting and gaming industry, where his strategic leadership is helping steer the sector through the most significant regulatory overhaul in a generation.

Previously, Gary held senior roles with major high street banks Santander and Nationwide Building Society, working in the Corporate Affairs division where he oversaw their engagement with government and key stakeholders.

This followed his work in frontline politics. He was Special Advisor to the Government Chief Whip at the heart of the previous Labour government, then Chief of Staff for then Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer Ed Balls, and finally adviser to the then-acting Leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman.

Gary will help guide Tecknuovo’s rapidly expanding public sector engagement portfolio.

Gus Sargent, Tecknuovo Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder said:

“On behalf of the entire team at Tecknuovo, I am absolutely delighted to welcome Gary at this crucial time for our firm.

He brings deep advisory experience, gleaned over many years in senior roles across government relations, policy development, and communications. His experience will be invaluable as we navigate the most complex issues of the day and seek to deliver huge cost savings to our growing client base, including government.”

On joining Tecknuovo as a Non-Executive Director, Gary said:

“I am thrilled to join Tecknuovo to help guide the company into its next exciting phase of growth. Tecknuovo has an outstanding record of service delivery, producing innovative solutions which deliver significant cost savings for government departments.

I’m excited to get working with the team, and excited to see what we can achieve together.”
